Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl 2013
The 2013 Las Vegas Bowl will feature either the champion or first selection from the Mountain West (MW) against the fifth selection from the Pacific-12 Conference (Pac-12).
The Las Vegas Bowl will be televised by ABC-TV for only the second time in its history. The 2001 Christmas Day matchup between Utah and USC was the first.
The Las Vegas Bowl will be heard throughout the country and overseas by Sports USA and along the American Forces Radio Network.

Team Welcome Reception                           Wednesday, December 18th
Line the iconic Fremont Street and welcome your team to Las Vegas.  Players will be treated to dinner and entertainment under the Fremont Street canopy of lights. Be there to cheer them on as they compete on stage in a dance contest, pie eating and more.  All of the festivities begin at 5:30PM.

Show Night in Vegas                                     Thursday, December 19th
Join the players as they experience a night on the town in Las Vegas. For show information, please contact the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl Office at 702-732-3912.
  
Kick Off Luncheon                                         Friday, December 20th         
The Las Vegas Convention Center will host both teams for this exclusive luncheon featuring Merril Hoge, former Pittsburg Steeler and current ESPN analyst, the band, cheerleaders and more. Space is limited and tickets are available for $50 each. To purchase luncheon tickets call 702-3912.

Fremont Street Experience Pep Rally        Friday, December 20th
Under the lights of Fremont Street support your team as the bands and cheerleaders get you ready for the exciting weekend.  This event is free to the public, be sure to arrive early as space fills up quickly. The Pep Rally will begin at 6:00PM.

X-Box One Tailgaming Party                        Saturday, December 21st  
The X-Box One Tailgaming Party is the best pre-game party in the bowl business and the gathering place for participating team's fans and bands.  It opens at 9:00AM and is free to the public. Don't miss the live music, kids zone, interactive games, a replica field and much more!

Bowl Facts

Date & Time:
The Las Vegas Bowl will be played Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at 12:30 p.m. (PST). It will be the 22nd edition of the game, which is now the 16th-oldest bowl in the FBS lineup.
Location:
Sam Boyd Stadium will again serve as the venue for the Las Vegas Bowl.
Attendance:
The 2012 Las Vegas Bowl attracted 33,217 fans to Sam Boyd Stadium. Six of the last eight games were sellouts, including the 2006 matchup between Oregon and BYU that welcomed a state-record 44,615 fans.
Participants:

ESPN Regional:
In May of 2001, the Las Vegas Bowl was acquired by ESPN Regional Television (ERT), a subsidiary of ESPN, Inc. As part of the agreement, ERT assumed responsibility for the Las Vegas Bowl's organization, operation, sponsorship, marketing efforts and more.
Conference Affiliations:
In August 2009, the bowl announced that it had agreed to extend its contract with both the Pac-12 Conference (fifth selection) and Mountain West (first selection) through the 2013 season. The two regional rival leagues have been facing each other in the game on an annual basis since 2001.
